“From Wildlife and Deserts to Ancient Mysteries”
Tour Highlights
“Ballestas Islands & Paracas Peninsula”
Your journey begins in Paracas Bay, where a speedboat takes you across the Pacific to the famous Ballestas Islands. Along the way, you’ll spot the mysterious Candelabro geoglyph etched on a desert hillside, visible only from the sea. The islands themselves are alive with wildlife, sea lions basking on the rocks, Humboldt penguins nesting, and thousands of seabirds filling the sky. Back on land, the adventure continues in the Paracas National Reserve, a dramatic landscape where the desert meets the ocean. From golden cliffs to the striking Red Beach, this protected area offers breathtaking views and a true sense of nature’s contrasts.
“Vineyards, Ancient Skulls & the Huacachina Oasis”
Heading south, the next stop is the city of Ica, where history and tradition come together. At the regional museum, you’ll see elongated skulls, evidence of ancient cranial deformation rituals, offering a glimpse into pre-Columbian cultures. Nearby, a visit to a traditional pisco vineyard reveals the centuries-old methods of producing Peru’s iconic grape spirit, with the chance to taste both wines and pisco. The day ends at the legendary Huacachina Oasis, a natural lagoon surrounded by towering dunes. Here, travelers can relax by the water, climb the dunes for panoramic views, or try sandboarding for a burst of desert adventure.
“Nazca Lines Flight & Chauchilla Cemetery”
The highlight of the journey takes place in Nazca, where you’ll board a small aircraft for a scenic flight over the Nazca Lines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From above, massive geoglyphs come to life — the Hummingbird, the Monkey, the Astronaut, and many others etched into the desert floor centuries ago. This aerial view offers the only way to truly grasp their scale and mystery. After the flight, the exploration continues at the Chauchilla Cemetery, an ancient burial site where naturally preserved mummies, textiles, and ceramics reveal the traditions of the Nazca people. Walking among the open tombs in the desert provides a haunting yet fascinating connection to Peru’s pre-Inca past.
